Coffee and food is good as well. The bar is an added bonus.

Wait staff where very friendly and happy to help. The outside area (out the back) can be cool and with plenty of shade and a breeze. Well behaved dogs are welcome in the outside areas, and the staff where very happy to see our dogs.

If you want to meet someone for coffee or a snack in Paddington, Sassafras' longevity tends to help in deciding where to go without having to explain with other landmarks. That's probably the best thing about it. It's about as rustic as it gets, so if you want comfortable chairs, no. If you want to stretch out, no. If you suffer from any kind of personal space issue, no. If you want to get in, eat fast, get out, no. There is really nothing to recommend it outside of the fact that most everyone knows where it is.

I had a buddah bowl and ice latte at breakfast both which i enjoyed very much. The staff were awesome, and I could see the atmosphere would be great in the evening. If I'm in the area again, I'll drop by. Thanks for the feeds!

Brilliant, brilliant, brilliant. Loved the outdoor seating and little hideaway books. Brilliant menu for vegetarians. Breakfast simply amazing for a vegetarian or meat lover. Benches we sat on were a little uncomfortable but it was great that dogs were allowed.

Had the corn fritters on my first visit ever here and they were soooo delicious! Highly recommend these. Small and busy place, best to get in early or for a very late breakfast if you want a table you don't have to share with other people.
